We helped a locally-owned and operated restaurant group embrace their passion for Italian cuisine and redefine the core branding of their flagship location.
The ChallengeRename and rebrand the existing concept, coordinate the redesign in concert with the remodel of the interior space and exterior building, and deliver key design tools to support the marketing efforts to relaunch the brand.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We defined a project schedule that delivered items according to prioritized milestones (e.g. share brand concept & visual direction with interior design firm; deliver logo designs to estimate, plan, produce and install signage, etc.).

CONCEPT & DIRECTION
The initial stages of the project included a brand audit, naming workshop, competitive analysis, and moodboard. Findings were shared in a Brand Direction document that outlined thinking, and a Design Direction document that outlined the path.

THE BRAND IDENTITY
Inspired by the sophisticated, food-centric Prati district in Rome, Prati Italia is a local hotspot. The brand identity took influence from the idea of a central location where neighbors meet, and the style was inspired by vintage Italian Art Deco and the offbeat typography seen in signage around Rome.
The ResultWe delivered an identity package that established Prati Italia as a bold, sophisticated restaurant, with a unique story to tell. Launch was well received by loyal fans and new patrons alike.
